Welcome to Ethicoco's Coffee & Chocolate House!

During the Georgian period (1714–1837), chocolate houses emerged as popular gathering places in England, particularly in London. These establishments were known for their unique atmosphere and served as social hubs where people from all walks of life could come together to enjoy chocolate beverages, socialize, and engage in intellectual discussions.

Nestled in a hidden nook just off of Boscombe high street, our charming and cosy café is a haven for chocolate and coffee aficionados alike. Step inside and be enveloped by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the rich scent of our own decadent chocolates. At Ethicoco, we take pride in serving real hot chocolate crafted from our own premium dark chocolates.

Originally found in the Hampshire countryside, following an unexpected takeover of the business early 2025, its home can now be found in Bournemouth. After spending months learning the skills of a chocolatier, in the background I was prepping the new coffee shop ready to ply you with caffeine and indulgent hand-made hot chocolate. With help and support from so many friends, Lyndon especially, and a dear lady who will be forever known as Rainha da estética (Queen of aesthetic) I'm now open!

Please bear with me in terms of opening times as I'm very much a one man band ( Jarob is ever present but is only useful at sitting and looking cute), but if the A-Frame is out on the high street I'm ready to welcome you in.

You'll see from the photos of where to find me, and the quaint little courtyard, which will be the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing beverage during the spring and summer months.
